GE CAMPUS REDEVELOPMENT - CHARACTER GUIDELINES

In 2016, Anderson + Bohlander was retained by Cross Street Partners out of Baltimore, Maryland to participate with what would become the winning redevelopment proposal for the historic General Electric campus in the West Central Neighborhood of Downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. The $280 Million redevelopment project calls for the re-imagination of this industrial site as a dynamic, mixed-use center for innovation and 21st century job growth. Also planned for this new destination within northeast Indiana will be highly-curated residential units, boutique hotels, and specialty retail and dining opportunities. Anderson + Bohlander worked closely with a team of consultants, community stakeholders, and municipal partners for a series of brainstorming sessions and design charrettes to establish a series of design principles for the campus. The highly collaborative process resulted in the formation of several Design and Character Guidelines documents that would serve as a road map for Interior & Exterior Building Features, Public Open Space, and Signage & Branding
