Anderson + Bohlander was hired in 2015 by Riley Area Development Corporation to develop a plan for the legacy industrial corridor along Massachusetts Avenue extending just northeast of the Mass Ave Cultural District in Downtown Indianapolis. The project was funded and overseen by LISC as the corridor falls under one of their focus corridor initiatives. The goal of this plan is to create a near-term redevelopment plan for the industrial properties and to identify key infrastructure that can make the area more competitive for new light industrial and small manufacturing jobs in the area. The plan includes an overview of existing conditions, opportunities analysis, and development strategies that range from relationship building and business-to-business awareness, up to large scale infrastructure recommendations and buffer treatments
