Anderson + Bohlander was solicited by Design Collaborative out of Fort Wayne, Indiana to provide a design for the roof deck of a proposed mixed-use, seven-story building in downtown Fort Wayne. The development was to be in conjunction with long-range plans for the City to encourage development adjacent to the new Riverfront Fort Wayne project along the St. Mary's River. The design of the roof deck amenity space was to incorporate a mixture of hardscape materials and program elements to activate the space. The design sought to break down the linear roofdeck as a series of rooms through angled forms and redirected views. Elements of the design were to include a large community pool deck with a bar and lounge area for dining and entertaining. A series of small informal rooms with swings and custom wood benches lead to the far end of the deck where a large synthetic turf panel was included for recreational activities
