In the fall of 2012, Anderson + Bohlander was commissioned to serve as the landscape architect for the redevelopment of the former Mitchel Scott Manufacturing site in the Historia Chatam Arch neighborhood of Downtown Indianapolis. In conjunction with Blackline Studio Architects and Civil Engineering Consultants (CEC), the team developed a highly collaborative plan to maximize the pedestrian experience within a tight urban development that would include a central gathering space and private pool area. The central courtyard serves as an outdoor extension of the community lounge, leasing office, and resident amenity areas located in the repurposed remnant building that once housed the company's corporate offices. Incorporated into the design is a custom fire pit with comfortable lounge seating, moveable dining tables and two gas grill stations. An additional component of the design was a salvaged roofdeck space that creates four private patios for the luxury apartments as a shared greenroof
